MiMi was born and raised on Galveston Island, Texas. She graduated from Ball High School in 1978, went to college for 2 years than began working with children on multiple levels. In 1981 she began coaching a youth soccer team, which she did for 12 years, and worked at soccer camps during the summer. MiMi also worked for the YMCA directing their summer camps and taught multiple classes, all pertaining to child/parent development. In 1994 she became a Child Birth Educator and began her journey as a Midwife. MiMi served in the birthing community as a midwife for 12 years.
On March 17, 1996 MiMi came to know the Lord and life has not been the same since. Immediately she devoted her time to children’s ministry and found a passion for teaching kids about Jesus. MiMi graduated from Coastal Bible Institute in 2004 and served as the Children’s Director at her local church for 10 years where she organized and led numerous outreaches and implemented multiple children’s programs. She was called to work in CEF Galveston in 2006 were she served as the local director until accepting the directorship at CEF Houston.
Mimi has been married to her husband Daryl for 36 years, and together they have raised 3 children and are currently enjoying their 2 precious granddaughters. In her “off time” she enjoys organic gardening, quilting, hunting, camping and long rides with Daryl on their Harley.
